Senate Considering Two Options Adverse to Credit Unions

“Tax options” paper released by the Senate Finance Committee cites the elimination of the tax exemption for certain organizations, including credit unions and nonprofit hospitals and an expansion of the Unrelated Business Income Tax (UBIT) to include federally chartered credit unions as possible sources of additional revenue.
