- Hair Show Bait: Trying to Get Something for Nothing
A financial fraud case on the FBI's site targeted young women in shopping malls, recruiting them to participate in an upcoming hair show, offering to pay them for their services, but requiring their debit card numbers to access their accounts. Hoefer Foundation and the Iowa Credit Union Foundation. Through this program Ermina Soler was able to break a generational-cycle of poverty and accumulate $4,000 to purchase a house, becoming the first person in her immediate family to be a homeowner.
