- Illinois Bank Is 14th Bank Closure of the Year
GreenChoice Bank, with 3 branches and $73 million in assets, became the 14th bank failure of 2014. Last year at this time, there were 16 bank failures. FDIC press release is here. [7/28/14]

The CFPB has proposed changes to current HMDA reporting requirements. The changes seek to, among other things, 1. standardize and align reporting with industry data standards, 2. improve the data reporting and data access processes, and 3. ease reporting requirements for smaller institutions. The FFIEC has launched a webpage to act as a repository for materials related to cybersecurity. Along with the launch of the website, a pilot program is also underway, which will involve 500 community institutions.
